Spoiled from an early age (wiersz)

I can't remember when exactly,

But I'm pretty sure it was quite early,

That you started spoiling me.

The first time I remember it,

I was fairly young,

Maybe three or four years old.

I remember running up to you one miserable day,

Looking for comfort.

You hit me in the face!

I was stunned, shocked, gob-smacked.

You had never hit me before?

I did not know what had happened.

It took a while for the pain to register-

I started crying-

And you just laughed.

That was the first time

You ever spoiled me.

but it wasn't the last-
